We made the trip to Belmont because I needed to get my eyes checked by my eye doctor, my Uncle Bob. It had been almost three years since my eyes were checked. Plus, I was in desperate need of new glasses. They were scratched to pieces. We also wanted to take Cole to visit his cousins and aunt and uncle too!
When we arrived at my aunt's house, we put Cole down for an afternoon nap. He didn't nap as long as usual, but that was okay. We then left to go to my uncle's office. We met Joel and Catherine there. They went to the ECU foot
ball game beforehand. My cousin, Alexa, fed Cole while Catherine and I got our eyes checked. We both had to have our eyes dilated, so it soon became a little difficult to see! While I was getting dilated, Cole's uncle Joel and daddy had a little fun while mommy wasn't looking.
After we got our eyes checked and picked out our new glasses, we headed off to dinner at Outback. Joel and Catherine left to go home after dinner and we left with Aunt Chris and Alexa to take Cole home to get him ready for bed.
Sunday morning, we woke up and hung out at the house. Cole laid down for a morning nap. Then, after lunch Charlie went out on the boat with Uncle Bob, Matthew, and Alexa. Cole laid down again for an afternoon nap. When he got up, we got ready to go to dinner. We were planning to ride my uncle's boat over to a restaurant called T-Bones. It's on the lake. This was going to be Cole's first boat ride. He loved every minute of it except for the infant life jacket that he had to wear. It was pretty tight. He looked like a mummy and wasn't really excited about not being able to move very well. But, as soon as he was in his daddy's arms, he seemed
to relax a little.
Uncle Bob
had fun looking after Cole while we finished our wonderful dinner. Then when we got home, we enjoyed some more family time together.
We had a great weekend with the family in Belmont. Thank you McCullens for letting us come and stay with you. We'll come back soon!

Jaimee,
The picture of Cole with glasses is hysterical, though it was a bit funnier in person! Can you email me the pictures? We'll see what Hanna does over the next few hours, but Joel & I will plan to see yall tomorrow.
I also just noticed that your time is off on your webpage--it must be set to the default Pacific Time, because I've definitely been at work more than two minutes this morning! I remember having to change mine to Eastern Time when I set up my page--let me know if you can't find it.
he is getting cuter and cuter...can't wait to see both of you again! I love you!
