1. How did you meet your significant other? Charlie and I met at the Wesley Foundation at ECU. We both grew up in Greenville but attended opposing high schools. (We know which one is better). We both sang with the Wesley Singers. Charlie said that he remembers officially meeting me at one of the Christmas dances where I took my brother as my date. I was wearing a gold dress. Since that is half of the Pirate colors, I guess I won his heart and completed his love of purple. The rest is history.
2. Do you shower at night or in the morning? I shower in the morning. I need it to wake up. Although, once I've become a mother, some days it's not the priority. Oh my gosh, did I just admit that!
3. What was the last thing you ate? Some breakfast muffins and a few pieces of Halloween candy!
4. If you had to choose between meat and cheese for the rest of your life what would you pick? I would definitely pick cheese. I love cheese and just about all kinds of it. I am NOT a meat person. I like hotdogs, hamburgers, and chicken, but I very rarely finish it all. I'm more of a starch girl!
5. What's the worst song ever? The fight song for Carolina.
6. If you had 1 million dollars, what would you do with it? I would definitely pay off all of our debt (car and house). A lot would go into savings for Cole and for Charlie and I's retirement. I would use some of it to help restore my grandmother's house in PA. I would probably plan a big family vacation to Hawaii and take Cole to some fun places, like Disney World. I would also buy a bigger house for us to grow into rather than outgrow.
7. What is your favorite holiday? I love Christmas! I love the time to celebrate Jesus' birth. I love the smells, music, sights, and sounds. I love baking cookies with my mom while listening to Alvin and the Chipmunks' Christmas soundtrack. We plan to include Cole this year. I love shopping for others and attending the Love Feast at St. James UMC.
8. What's your worst habit? Well, it used to be checking myself out in the mirror before I went anywhere, now being a mom that is the last thing on the list ( I admitted it again). My worst habit now is probably not giving all of my worries to God concerning Cole. I am very protective and am bad about checking on him a bunch while he's sleeping. I'm better though, because I haven't slept in the twin bed beside his crib for four months now!
9. What's the last thing you bought? I bought a vacuum cleaner filter replacement and some white socks for Cole.
10. Do you have a bunch of acquaintances and a few good friends or 70 best friends? I have a few acquaintances and a few good friends. I do have a best friend whom I've known since fourth grade. Ashleigh and I have remained best friends throughout high school, marriage, and now through the births of our sons. It's a lot of fun. I also have some other really close friends whom I love spending time with.
11. Who's your youngest relative? Who's the oldest? The youngest is Charlie's cousin on his mom's side. He is five years old. The oldest is my grandmother is Pennsylvania. She's close to 90 years old.
12. Random Fact about yourself: I have never had the chicken pox (neither has my brother). We were both vaccinated with an experimental vaccine at a young age and never got it. We also have never had the new vaccine.

Thank you for playing! I didn't want to be the only one. I promise to eat your share of meat if you eat my share of cheese! And now that you mention it, Carolina's fight song is on my worst song list, too. Both of my grandmothers and my mother passed on the "worry gene," but I'm hoping I will have changed it into the "concerned gene" before we have kids!
