Time Spent with "Great"

So this past weekend we went and spent some time with my grandmother.  My grandmother and my mom were inspired by some relatives of ours in Ohio to call my grandmother "great."  This will be what Cole will call her...short for great-grandmother.  I love it!  We went out to dinner at a favorite Italian restaurant and then after putting Cole to bed, grandma and I played cards.  We love playing Rummy together.  We used to play a lot on the weekends when my brother and I would stay with my grandparents.  She taught me all that I know!  Luckily, I beat her twice!  She was a good sport about it though!

On Saturday, we went to the Cow Cafe in downtown New Bern for lunch.  Here Cole got to experience ice cream for the first time!  SHHH, don't tell Dr. Holbrook. MiMi (my mom) had the honor of feeding her grandson one of

God's best created foods yet!  Check out what he thought of it at first....brainfreeze!!

Then, the second bite....mmmm good!  A boy after his mom's own heart.

Before we left to come home, we came back to my grandmother's house to visit for a little while longer.  While we were there, Cole met a celebrity....Elvis!!!
